A passion for people.
A purpose in movement.
Helping people move better, regain confidence and live more fully is what brought Jan to Biokinetics. It is still what drives him today.
Behind Wings is a simple belief: the knowledge that helps someone through rehabilitation should also help them build a stronger, healthier life.

More people.
More access to
meaningful guidance.
Jan changed careers because he wanted to work with people — and be equipped to make a difference.
He qualified as a Biokineticist after completing his studies at Potchefstroom University in 2003. Through private practice, rehabilitation and sports conditioning, he saw how the right exercise and guidance could change a person’s quality of life.
Wings grew from a desire to bring that understanding to more people: a place where professional knowledge, purposeful exercise and community could come together.

Seeing the person.
Recognising the potential.
Jan’s gift is bringing his understanding of movement together with a deep desire to help.
For him, the meaningful moments are personal: helping someone recover after an operation, return to a sport they love, or achieve a goal they once thought was out of reach.
He brings that same commitment to everyday training. The goal is to help people understand how they move, build their abilities and discover what is possible through consistent effort.
Attention to the details.
Care for the individual.

A better quality of life.
A return to what you love.
Jan’s experience spans everyday health, rehabilitation and high-performance sport.
His rehabilitation and conditioning work has included Olympic surfing silver medallist Bianca Buitendag, champion jockey Andrew Fortune, martial artist Stef Biagioni and firefighter athlete Emile Conrad.
What matters to him across all these journeys is the same: helping a person move forward, work towards their goals and make the most of their abilities.

A coach who puts his
knowledge into practice.
Jan’s commitment to health and performance extends to his own training.
He won the HYROX Pro Men 50–54 division in South Africa in both 2025 and 2026, and has qualified for the 2027 World Championships in Hong Kong.
The discipline, preparation and consistency he brings to competition reflect the same commitment he brings to coaching at Wings.

Strength for life.
Character that grows.
Function, wellbeing and a healthy balance in life guide the way Jan leads Wings.
He wanted a gym where people learn to move well, train with purpose and encourage one another. A place where progress means more than appearance, and where working through a challenge can build character as well as strength.
His Christian faith underpins this purpose and the values he brings to Wings: care for people, integrity and a commitment to helping others grow.

behind the journey.
Thank you to the businesses whose support helped Jan reach the World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, in June 2026.
These businesses advertise on our sponsorship wall at Wings. Their support helped make the journey possible. We’re proud to recognise them here, too.
